The research behind the genealogy presented here was begun in 2002 in an attempt to document my wife's family history. What begun as a hobby soon developed into a compelling passion that threatened to consume my every waking moment. The trail started in my hometown of Ramsgate Kent, England where my father Cecil George Simmons made is home. His ancestry is uncertain, the current view is he was unofficially adopted as we have no records of this todate. From there the trail led to nearby Broadstairs where he met my mother, Ruby Jane Barham. In the mid 1800's many members of the family were living around Sussex and Hampshire, I have even found links to Ireland and as far away as Australia once again welcome to my site, the search continues albeit slowly and therefore I would appreciate any help you can offer. If anyone finds any errors, omissions or has any additional information please contact me at the address below. Once again I will add more in the future as and when my research bears fruit. At this point I must thank Robert and Shirley for their contribution to the clan and my wife for her patience and understanding and who actually set me off on my long journey of discovery.
